Your new DIY scheme has certainly generated a huge amount of applications…...we were even able to get new applications at the weekend. With the benefit of hind-sight we needed to be even more specific than we apparently had been about the location of the job – we invited people for interview to be told it is too far away !!!  Also we should have emphasised that this person will be ‘in-charge’ of the accounts department when…goes off on maternity leave…..However, all part of our learning curve. 

In terms of value for money it is an excellent buy, less than the smallest local paper advert and covering a large area.

AccessPlanIT is a small IT Development Company based in Lancaster. Previous experience of recruitment agencies caused us to manage our recruitment needs via the traditional local paper, situation vacant route. This was time consuming and frequently ended up with lengthy discussions with totally unsuitable applicants who didn’t meet the advertised minimum criteria.

We received an email from Mount Recruitment and being a local, IT specialist recruiter, thought a call may be worthwhile. Grant Bodie, the company owner, made arrangements to call at our offices and talked through our requirements, at times giving advice and clearly having an in-depth knowledge of our industry.
Within a week or so Mount Recruitment came back to us with three candidates that met our criteria, we interviewed all three and made our selection. He has just successfully completed his probationary period and is a real asset to the organisation.

The process above sounds unremarkable and as it should be but how frequently does the simplest task turn into a marathon chore.  It was the way that Grant first of all listened to what the organisation needed, then paved the way through any problems and sorted out the logistics that made it so unremarkable.
