Barcamp Blackpool is a free ‘unconference’ with no scheduled speakers. Attendees that wish to lead a talk arrive on the day and add their talk to the schedule. With three conference rooms available and multiple 30 minute slots, there are plenty of opportunities for you to lead a talk, and there are plenty of talks for you to take part in.
The talks can be on anything. Last year we had crowd sourced web development sessions, geo caching, and Android application development.
But you do not have to lead a talk, just join in the fun. Speak to like minded people and learn new and interesting things.
There will be free WIFI available on the day, projectors for presentations, professional audio facilities and PA so your talk can be heard clearly.
Currently the sponsorship covers morning and afternoon refreshments, lunch and there will be an after party with entertainment and a sponsored bar….there will also be Barcamp Blackpool sticks of rock!
The event will be held at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Casino, on the 3rd of July 2010, and free tickets are available from http://bcblackpool.eventbrite.com/?ref=ecount
